Welcome to Jamrock
Life with Melissa and Steve is a party. They know how to go big, but have a knack for keeping things relaxed. Escaping the cold of winter for a tropical destination wedding in Jamaica was a treat. Jamaica’s vibrant colors and kickback culture couldn’t have been a better choice. A day at Negril’s Seven Mile Beach did the trick to remedy our jetlag.
Can we talk about the water?! Clear, turquoise, with temps in the 80s –– The. Dream. We couldn’t have asked for a better backdrop. The gorgeous grounds at the Rockhouse Hotel were photo shoot heaven and made it hard to take a photo we didn’t love. Then add delicious food (Jerk chicken, anyone? Yeah, mon.) and reggae. All the vibes.
From the cutest first look to a bridal party of besties – the day was a party from the moment the sun woke. Melissa was a absolute stunner and Steve couldn’t take his eyes off her. The island’s charm saturated their wedding day with something magical.
Set atop the venue’s signature rocky shore, the ceremony was steeped in natural beauty. Just minutes after showering the newlyweds in floral confetti, the sunset wowed us with a special blessing. It’s no understatement that the dinner and and dancing were next level –– and although it gave the night a little boost, that wasn’t the Jamaican rum talking.
Wake the Town & Tell the People
Chinese lanterns lit up the night, sending blessings to the sky. Melissa has been one of my besties since high school, and it was extra special to shoot her wedding. I couldn’t be happier that she and steve found each other. I had to pinch myself at the end of the night it was so surreal. One love!
